* Review countrywide security situation on a daily basis through local media and other sources and advise/brief the supervisor/Field Security Officer (FSO) on trends/situation that could affect WFP operations on a short/medium-terms basis; * Ensure full information received and/or provided when starting/finishing daily period of duty; * Support the supervisor/FSO in investigations, incident reports and security assessment country wide or individually as requested; * Liaise with local security authorities, as requested; * Support supervisor/FSO in other security related matters as requested; * Maintain the Security Plan up-to-date, including updating lists of staff, and eligible family members; ensuring that fire safety arrangements are implemented; ensuring that plans for fire/building evacuation, relocation/evacuation to a safe haven are current and implemented; * Maintain Minimum Operational Security Standards (MOSS) for equipment; assist in developing and implementing MOSS and ensuring that all WFP offices are compliant; * Ensure that the appropriate level of confidentiality is maintained with regard to security matters; * Assign daily duties to security personnel, ensuring that posts are manned at all times; intervene personally to resolve problems or refer them immediately to the supervisor; * Instruct personnel in the performance of security services including the training and/or certification (as applicable by local law) to carry a defense weapon provided by WFP for the purpose of ensuring the physical security of the premises, WFP property and staff, as required; * Instruct personnel in the performance of services, including fire control, first aid procedures, use of equipment and operation of the automated alarm and video surveillance systems, if installed; * Maintain updated directives and security personnel lists; * Respond to personnel and telephone enquiries and provide appropriate information or suggest alternative sources of information; * Issue building passes, when appropriate; * Liaise as necessary with the local administration, police authorities, fire services and other emergency services; * Supervise and train other security staff; * Perform other related duties as required.
Access Control System and Cameras
- Operate and monitor the access control system from Islamabad security office 24/7;
- Issue WFP ID/Passes and keep record of the issued passes;
Security Clearance and Staff Movements
- In coordination with the staff and DSS, follow up on all security clearances;
- In coordination with the staff and DSS, follow up on all staff movement inside Pakistan and staff arriving from outside Pakistan;
Warden Plans and Head Count following an Incident
- In coordination with the provincial offices, SIOC and DSS, make sure Warden plans are up to date;
- Be ready to provide country wide head account 24/7 and after an incident;
Security reports
- Draft regular security sitreps, incident reports and flash reports…;
- Monitor any security incidents related to WFP staff, activities and assets;
Liaison with security staff from SIOC
Plans and Procedures
- Adhere to and follow/assist implementing WFP Pakistan security unit work plan;
- Be contactable 24 hours a day 7 days a week;
Equipment
- As tasked by FSOs, manage all computers, access control equipment and CCTV;
- Tracking WFP staff and activities
- Monitor WFP staff movement in his Area;
- Monitor WFP activities (WFP food transport, delivery or distribution);
Complete any other task as directed by FSOs. Required Skills
Background directly related with security issues (e.g. in military, police, etc). Good political and social knowledge of the country. Training and/or practical experience in maintaining electronic databases and using standard computer applications.
