- Review of the capacity assessment of MoWD and WDDs (baseline for UNIFEM) and provide a draft report on the basis of existing review reports, reviews and assessment done on the MoWD/NCSW by different stakeholders and partners (such as GTZ, UNDP and UNIFEM amongst others) on repositioning of MoWD.
- Provide draft report on the ongoing national commitments - National Action Plan, National Policy, CEDAW and UNSCR 1325 and 1820 - to strengthen linkages and synergies between these under an harmonized framework and ready for the use of National Committee and technical advisors
- Support MoWD in follow up to review and update of the National Plan of Action for Women (adopted in 1998) and the National Policy National Policy for Empowerment and Development of Women, adopted in 2002.
- Facilitate consultations, meetings with reference to the above mentioned bullet points and prepare reports on them.
- Work as and when required by UNIFEM team.

d. Draft plan re the update of the NPA and NPD

Required Skills
A minimum of 10 years of practical experience around gender issues and work with the government and international agencies
Experience in gender work and understanding of the related issues at national, regional and international level.
Masters degree in Gender Studies
Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
Demonstrated strong analytical, and communication skills.
Fluency in English
Good computer skills in Window environment, knowledge of Internet communications and command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
